Her skill on developing creative dialogues between the modern jazz and aspects of popular Brazilian music has guided Vera Figueiredo’s career. She knows how to combine both, the professional and artistic ways of music in her life.
 

Back to the JazzB Club, in São Paulo city, Brazil, the drummer and composer will perform along with musicians who are masters of their instruments. They’re going to incorporate the dialogic aesthetic that makes Vera Figueiredo a contemporary reference when it comes trio formation, performing a concert full of improvisation and guaranteeing a renewed musical experience to the audience.

Vera Figueiredo will participate in a Commented Audition, part of the SESC Jazz program. It will take place at SESC Vila Mariana, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

 

Alongside Sidiel Vieira and Amaro Freitas, the Brazilian drummer will comment on the album Rio65, recorded by Dom Salvador (piano), Sergio Barroso (bass) and Edison Machado (drums).

 

The event will feature Dom Salvador's online participation.
